You are cordially invited to join Friends of the Savannah Coastal Wildlife Refuges  in celebration of National Wildlife Refuge Week on Friday, October 9th, 2015, from 5PM –8PM at Sergeant Jasper County Park, 1458 Red Dam Rd.  in Hardeeville, SC, 29927.

Our Guest of Honor will be Joe Wiegand, the country’s foremost Theodore Roosevelt re-enactor.

Joe will give a rousing performance as our 26th President that is entertaining, educational, and inspirational.  He has delighted audiences around the nation, including a performance at the White House.

As a special treat, and to recognize TR’s role in saving the American Bison (AKA the buffalo) from extinction, we will be serving a meal featuring locally raised “buffalo burgers”  made from ground bison meat.

A minimum donation of $20 per adult is suggested, $18 for Friends members.  All donations will go to the Kingfisher Pond Discovery Center Project.  Your donation entitles you to a buffalo burger, a seat at the TR presentation, and a one-year individual membership in the Friends.  The suggested donation for children 10 and under is $10 (hot dogs and hamburgers will be available for the kids).

Doorprizes will also be awarded.

Be sure to reserve your spots early as seating is limited.

Please consider donating to the Friends!
