The staff of the Savannah Coastal Refuges Complex is holding an open house to allow the public to review and ask questions about proposed changes in hunting policies on Savannah NWR. The public is invited.
The proposed changes have sparked some debate including a letter from Ogeechee Audubon opposing some of the changes that expand waterfowl hunting, including the use of hunting dogs on the refuge.
This open house is your opportunity to examine the proposed changes and ask FWS staff about the rationale for and effects of the proposed changes. You will later have an opportunity to submit written comments to FWS.
