What better way to kick-off Super Bowl Weekend than chowing down at a traditional Low Country Boil? Join us for good food and fellowship on Saturday, February 1st from 11AM-4PM.
Enjoy one pound of shrimp and all-you-care-to-eat corn, sausage, and red potatoes. Drinks, snacks, hot dogs and chili dogs will be available for sale as well(sorry, no alcoholic beverages allowed). After you eat feel free to tour the new Beech Hill Pavilion and nature trails adjacent to the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. Serving starts at 11AM and continues while the food lasts.
The day will also feature an art sale, live music, a turtle-focused silent auction, and Kris Williams’ annual report at 2PM on the Caretta Project’s very successful loggerhead turtle monitoring program on Wassaw NWR in 2019.
Advance tickets for the low country boil are available here on the web site, $20 for Friends members, $25 for non-members, and $15 for kids 12 and under (with 1/2 pound of shrimp). Tickets will be available at the door for $30 for adults, $20 for folks 12 and under.
Kris' talk is free and open to the public as is the auction and art show.
Please consider donating to the Friends!
