Guided Birding Walk

  • Sunday, February 10, 2013
  • 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM
  • Fort Pulaski National Monument
Friends group member and well known local author, photographer,  and birder Diana Churchill will lead a bird walk at Fort Pulaski to look for wrens, creepers, marsh sparrows, rails and more.  The trip is timed to coincide with an 8-foot high tide, which should make these species easier to find.  Diana must leave at 10 a.m., but other participants are welcome to stay on to continue birding.  Meet by the bridge at the entrance to Ft. Pulaski, just off US 80 between Wilmington Island and Tybee.  The field trip is free and open to the public.  Bring binoculars, water, and sun/insect protection.

Please consider donating to the Friends!
