"Birds of the Truman Parkway"

  • Saturday, September 14, 2013
  • 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
  • Truman Parkway
Ogeechee Audubon Field Trip

The Project Manager for the Truman Parkway Extension that is currently under construction sees all sorts of interesting species where the Parkway crosses the Vernon River and its marshes.  He will give us a private guided tour out onto the not-yet-opened portion of the parkway where it crosses the river.  In addition to bird sightings, this is a great way to learn about the engineering challenges of building a roadway across a tidal river.  To reserve your place, contact Diana Churchill at dichurch@bellsouth.net
