Coastal Birding Class

  • Saturday, March 01, 2014
  • 8:00 AM - 10:30 AM
  • Burton 4-H Center, Tybee Island, GA
Ogeechee Audubon is sponsoring a birding workshop on Tybee Island on Saturday, March 1, 2014, starting at the the University of Georgia's Burton 4-H Center.

The Center's birding education expert, Margaeux Maerz, will teach you a basic overview of coastal birds and their unique adaptations. Then the group will travel to several locations around Tybee Island for birding with her. You will learn to identify many new birds you did not know before.

Bring your own binoculars and dress to be outdoors (the Center has some binoculars you can borrow). Open to the public, adults and children are welcome. $10 for everyone age 4 and up. Under 4 can tag along for free (note: parents are charged). The class will be most intended for age 10 and up, but younger children are welcome.
